CAREER PROFILE

For the past seven years, I have been a successful computer animator and motion capture specialist in the video game industry. Ready to get out of a cubicle, I am now looking to shift my career back toward my true passion; horses. My transferrable skills and personality strengths are in team leadership and motivation, personnel training, project planning and organization.

EQUESTRIAN EXPERIENCE TIMELINE

·         1987: Began taking horseback riding lessons at Burgi Rommel’s Sonburst Riding School in South Surrey

·         1989: Owned my first horse, a retired Standardbred

·         1989: Cleaned stalls, fed, and turned out horses at Sonburst as my first job

·         1995: Bought my second horse at the age of 18 – a thoroughbred off the track that didn’t have a very bright future

·         1996 - 1998: Rented a seven acre farm and converted it to a horse boarding facility that housed up to 16 horses when full

·         1996 – 1998: Taught beginner riding lessons and horsemanship to kids

·         2000: sold my horse and went back to school for computer animation

·         2009 – present: Taking dressage lessons from Liz Morton at Dania Stables in Southlands; riding a privately owned thoroughbred on a regular basis
