Starting and riding young horses and ensuring they obtain racing fitnessbefore being sent to their trainer.
Getting older horses, recently returned from grass, back to racingfitness.
General yard duties, including: grooming, feeding and mucking out.

In charge of 40-50grooms and 80-90 horses, job consisted of:
All stable management including: ensuring correct horses going out in theright string with the correct groom, monitoring feeding, grooming, mucking outand all general yard duties.
Work riding the horses in the trot/canter ring and on the gallops.
Assisting with saddling on race day
Routine veterinary work including assessment of horses after race day andensuring correct treatment is administered
Office duties including accounts, wages and answering the phone.
Talking to owners, showing them to their horses and answering anyquestions they may have.
Personal Experience
Grew up on a farm in Zimbabwe surrounded by dogs and horses, I have ridden and competed horses for as long as I can remember. Have done show jumping, dressage, cross country, polo and polo x as well as starting my own horses.
