Before the age of 12 Sloan had already accomplished big things as a student of Paul Valliere. At age 9 she was champion at the National Pony Finals and at age 12 she was 2nd in themorning class to the Maclay Finals at Madison Square Garden. She competed in the Maclay Finals 7 consecutive years during her junior years and with her junior jumper, Jet Steam, she also captained the Zone 1 Prix de States team at Harrisburg. Sloan was educated at Tulane University where she coached the riding team throughout her years there. In 1996 she started her own company as a real estate developer and purchaser, which she successfully pursues now. Sloan returned to the show ring a few years ago and has since won the RIHA and NEEC Adult Equitation Finals. She's also returned to the jumper ring and under the tutelage of Steve Heinecke has won championships throughout the northeast, including the Catskills."
Sloan moved to Florida in 2007 and has been freelancing and competing. In 2008 and 2009 Sloan rode a new mount for Rivers Edge and finished 2nd in overall zone division.
in 2009 -2010 Sloan travelled to charlotte, north carolina per the request of prominent family for private training.After just a few short months in Charlotte her students won victories in 3 out of 4 hunter/jumper divisions in the zone.
Sloan continues to work and train in the Florida area and will be freelancing in welligton this comig winter. 2014 reserve champion adult equitation and adult jumper division
