Objective
To obtain employment within the Equine Industry.
Horses have been my lifelong passion. Growing up, I beganriding at age of 8 working for lessons at the local stables. By age 14, I was backing& starting young horses that would be trained for 3 day eventing.
For over 15 years I worked under Level 3 CEF Coach &3-Day competitor Janine Ellingham. I rode, lunged, worked on ground manners, groomedand was involved in every aspect of horse care & stable management.
At 17 I worked as an assistant to a therapeutic riding instructorfor special needs children. During my early twenties, I managed a 10 horse privatebarn where I was responsible for exercising, training and all regular dailycare of the stable. During this time, I also worked for local stables startingand backing young horses.
In 2001 I attended a one year, full time program inequine coaching and stable management. I graduated and was certified as anEnglish instructor through Equine Canada. During and after this program I workedas both a therapeutic and able body riding instructor.
I am a very capable and knowledgeable horse person. Withover 20 years experience in the industry I would be an asset to any team.
In addition to my equine experience, I spent over 10years in the tourism industry. This included working for the luxury brand FairmontHotels as well as Delta Hotels and many privately owned restaurants.
Over the past 8 years, I’ve worked as a designer &draftsperson in architecture and interior design. I specialized in high-endcustom residential, with construction budgets ranging from 5-50 milliondollars.
Through these 2 fields I gathered invaluable experience workingwith a wide range of clientele and posses excellent people skills.
I’m a Canadian with Irish citizenship and I hold EUpassport. I’m officially a resident of Spain and permitted to live and workhere. I’m fluent in English and learning Spanish.
Finally, the Andalusian breed has fascinated me for manyyears and I was fortunate enough to work with them in Canada. In 2000 I Chairedthe annual Festival of the Andalusian in Puallup Washington. Now that I’m inSpain, I look forward to working with this incredible breed once more.
